The process of finalizing this project proposal proved to be slightly more difficult than expected. While some sections came together easily, others required more research and careful wording. In order to make this proposal I had to ensure that the final product was professional, which required me to write in a different way than a majority of my papers.
Some specific sections were harder to produce than others such as the justification and the budget estimates. The justification was interesting as I had to argue why saving water was important, even though I easily see the reason and support the sustainability behind it, not everyone does. The section also forced me to study what the possible educational and intangible benefits would come from the project, which isn’t something that you often think about when it comes to projects like this. The budget estimate section was especially hard to write as it required a lot of numbers that aren’t exactly readily available to us such as the number of toilets that needed to change. We were able to find the price of dual flush toilets online, but that is just a base price, not the bulk price that UNE would end up paying. In other words the prices that I had were not as accurate as they could’ve been which changed how I had to write this section.
